  • 2009 – 2014 – Doctoral studies in sport pedagogy, Latvian Academy of Sports Education (LASE). Obtained a doctors degree in sports science, pedagogy sub-branch.
  • 2004 – In Athens, Greece, obtained a referee license from the International Handball Federation (IHF).
  • 2000 – In Antwerp, Belgium, obtained a referee license from the European Handball Federation (EHF).
  • 1999 – 2001 – Pedagogical masters degree in sports science, LASE.

  • 1999 – 2007 – Instructor of Latvian National Armed Forces Sports Club.
